When setting up the business, I found ‘Richard’s Gutter Cleaning’ was already established locally. I decided on ‘Hugo’s’ instead—a name I have a personal family attachment with.
How much is a gutter clean?
As a rough guide a 2 sided terrace house will range from £65-£80. Semi's you can expect a range of £80-£120. Detached home can be from £110 - £140 depending on size. This can vary, depending on what needs cleaning, garages, conservatories, barns, how many stories. Something much larger can be priced more, happy to give you a quote based on address.
How much is a roof clean?
It will vary with factors like access and slope of the roof being a factor. We aim to be in the £4-8 per square meter range. Biocide post wash to stop the moss regrowth is charged between £2-£3 per square meter.
Do you do commerical properties?
Yes
How often should i have my gutters cleaned?
60% of clients have them done every year. Espcially if you are near trees. I have clients that have them done every 6 months, a few schools for example or country homes with old gutters that need more attention (Keeping the original cast gutters instead of replacing them, meaning more regular cleans are needed). Some are just needed once, and thats fine for a number of years.
Can you carry out minor repairs?
Yes. I carry sealant with my to help stop any leaky joints. Happy to reclip in gutters where possible. This is all included in the price.
Can you clean my gutters with guards in?
Generally no. In fact I advise not to have anything alien in the gutters at all. Gutter Hedgogs are the only thing that might have a few uses however they get extremely heavy in icey conditions and unless you have metal gutters they will cause permanent damage. I can take off gutter guards and then complete the clean if you don't mind me throwing them away.
Do you pressure wash roofs?
At this stage no. Manual scraping is the safest option for roofs however I'm not ruling out offering it as a service in the future.
